Description
The NIST Electron Microscopy Nexus is seeking creative innovators to leverage one of the most comprehensive microscopy datasets in the world. Our facility operates 18 advanced instruments (S/TEM, SEM, and dual-beam) with an infrastructure that centrally archives and curates every dataset via NexusLIMS (publication and GitHub repo).
With close to 100 TB of machine-actionable data—ranging from 1D spectroscopy to 4D-STEM images—we have moved beyond simple storage to programmatic discovery via REST API. We have already proven that our rich metadata enables powerful machine learning applications; now, we are looking for the "what’s next." If you have the vision to transform 100 TB of multimodal materials data into the next great scientific breakthrough, we invite you to apply and share your vision with us.
