The Protection Division of the Research & Operations Directorate is responsible for development of next generation personal protective equipment to protect against toxic chemicals. To meet this goal, high throughput techniques are being developed to assess performance of porous materials and polymer composites. These techniques generate large amounts of data and must be properly collated with appropriate meta data for eventual use in conjunction with machine learning and artificial intelligence. Specific research opportunities will focus on the interface between HT method development, data management strategies, and machine learning. This highly collaborative research area will offer opportunities to work with leading academic and government researchers.
